About Me

My husband and I own 80 acres atop a beautiful mountain in the Ozarks.  It is our sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of life, and we love the serenity of our place.  I am a former teacher who loved the profession but also knew when it was time to branch out and give all my time to our wonderful family and businesses.  This blog is the first one I have started, and I am excited about this new adventure.

I am not a fashion expert.  In fact, I need one to help me be current in my wardrobe.  I am not a chef or cook who comes up with wonderful recipes whether they be high calorie deliciousness or low-calorie/points creations.  I am something else – just a woman, in her 50s, trying to release the writer that has always been within me. Yet, not just the writer, but the person who has had a long fulfilling responsibility of being a mother; a current and continuing wife to a wonderful man; a long fulfilling career as a teacher; a daughter, sister, friend.  Many people have these same roles, and I do not claim to have answers to any questions that come with these roles. What I have are experiences that I want to share, reflections about life, searches for answers to my own questions while hopefully giving others an avenue or voice to share their own. I have an opportunity to finally embrace what I have always wanted to do – write.

So this blog will be about life experiences, will be a creative outlet to share writings past and present, and will be my next step in fulfilling a dream.
